Workplace Wellbeing & Leadership

Cultivating Calm.
Empowering Teams.

Promoting well being and personal growth
to drive meaningful change in the world.

Cultivating
Equanimity

At Equanimity Consulting, I help organisations foster workplace wellness and build mentally healthy teams. Proactively supporting mental health reduces burnout, boosts engagement, and creates environments where people thrive.

Today, more than ever, I need leaders who embody equanimity — calm, steady, and thoughtful amid distraction and division. Equanimity is not aloofness; it is open, curious acceptance that invites others into a shared space of calm presence.

When leaders show up with authenticity and purpose, people feel safe, valued, and empowered to contribute their full creativity. Employers also carry a legal duty to protect staff from psychological as well as physical risks.

Practising equanimity strengthens resilience, inclusion, and engagement. In any leadership role, I can respond to challenges with steadiness, care, and openness.

(n.) Mental calmness, composure, and evenness of mind especially under stress.

What is
Equanimity?

It is an inner steadiness and balance regardless of what is happening in our external world. An equal mind or evenness of mind, and regulation of emotions. It is a skill that can be developed through consistent practice.

Equanimity is one of the greatest benefits of mindfulness and meditation. Mindful leaders practise equanimity by being:

  • Calm and composed, particularly under stress
  • Reflective rather than reactive
  • Accepting of current reality or situation
  • Open, kind and compassionate
